Troop 3 loves the Pine Barrens of New Jersey – they tends to be somewhat warmer than Easton in the winter, and the flat terrain makes it great for introductory hikes and backpacking trips. In April 2022, we ventured to Wharton State Forest where we went on an out-and-back style backpacking trip. We hiked into our campground on Saturday, cooked and camped at the site Saturday night, then hiked back out on Sunday.
